It was started by David McGlashan in Reading after he found it difficult to make sense of solar proposals for his own home. David is not a solar installer or engineer. QuoteCalm is a way to get a clearer first look at the paperwork, with the limits of that check shown plainly.
Start with the quote.
We pull out the figures and claims that are actually written down. Important findings point back to the wording in the document, so you can check them yourself.
Keep the maths separate.
Where figures can be calculated, such as panel capacity or total finance payments, the calculation is labelled. Installer estimates stay labelled as estimates.
Ask what’s missing.
The check focuses on details that could affect your decision. If something is not visible in the pages you uploaded, we do not assume it was omitted from the full proposal.

QuoteCalm cannot inspect a roof, assess shading or wiring, verify an installer’s current credentials, guarantee savings or decide whether a system is suitable for your property. We will not call a price good value against the wider market without enough comparable evidence.
