Check your solar quote before you sign.
Already have a solar quote? QuoteCalm helps you understand what you are being offered, what appears to be included, what needs clarification and which questions to ask before committing.
We separate information in the document from calculations and from anything the quote does not tell us.
What to check
- Headline price and system size
- Panels, inverter and battery specification
- Installer and consumer-code details to verify
- Workmanship and product warranties
- Savings and payback assumptions
- Missing or unclear installation costs
What should be checked in a solar quote?
A solar quote should clearly identify the proposed system, equipment, total price and important installation items. RECC advises consumers to obtain at least three quotations and to ensure they receive a written quote with a property-specific performance estimate and a full breakdown of what will be supplied.
QuoteCalm is designed to turn that information into a short, practical review rather than asking you to manually compare every line.
Why price alone is not enough
Two solar quotes can differ because of battery capacity, inverter type, scaffolding, roof complexity, warranties and electrical work. A lower quote is not automatically better, and a higher quote is not automatically poor value.
That is why QuoteCalm separates price, equipment, completeness and assumptions rather than relying on one simplistic score.
What happens after you upload?
We extract the information stated in your document, run transparent calculations and checks, and highlight any fields we cannot identify reliably. We do not invent missing details.
The first 500 solar quote checks are free while we build a de-identified UK solar quote benchmark.
