A strong solar quotation should make it easy to understand what you are buying, what it costs, what performance is predicted and who is responsible for each part of the installation.
What to check
- Total price and payment schedule
- Panel quantity, make and model
- Inverter and battery model
- System capacity and predicted generation
- Scaffolding and installation works
- Warranties and guarantees

Equipment specification
The quotation should identify enough information to know exactly which products are being proposed. Generic phrases such as “premium 450W panels” make comparison and warranty checking harder.
Installation scope
Look for scaffolding, electrical works, monitoring, DNO/grid application responsibilities, commissioning and any exclusions. An apparently cheaper quote can become more expensive if essential works are omitted.
Financial assumptions
A projected payback period only makes sense if the underlying electricity use, generation, import costs and export income assumptions are clear.
